Hurricane Gustav 2008

On September 1, 2008 Hurricane Gustav a category 2 hurricane made landfall in Louisiana.  The city of Baton Rouge was particularly hit hard with winds up to 90 mph and debris falling on power lines and homes devastating the community.  Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. was contracted by the City of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish to load and haul hurricane debris from the City and Parish rights-of-ways.  Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. was also responsible for trimming and removing leaning trees, hanging limbs, and hazardous stumps as well as delivering all the material to the designated dump site areas.

Also due to Hurricane Gustav, Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. was contracted by Jefferson Parish, Louisiana in 4 separate cities including Lafitte, Grand Isle, Barataria, and Crown Point to load and haul hurricane debris as well as trim or remove leaning trees, hanging limbs, and hazardous stumps from Parish rights-of-ways
